Schools

Nonprofits like schools can take advantage of rebates for solar and EVs for entities that don't pay taxes. And there are additional programs specifically for electrifying the transportation of school systems.

Municipal Governments

Local government entities can take advantage of rebates for non-profits. And those that are involved in administration of public water systems have opportunities to get funding for upgrades, testing and lead pipe replacement. Civic associations and other local groups can promote public awareness of
the opportunities within their communities.

Community Organizations

Community-facing non-profits working on environmental and climate justice action can get funding to help with their work, which could include air and water
pollution monitoring and remediation, greenhouse gas reduction projects and projects mitigating
climate and health risks from urban heat islands, such as tree-planting.

Low & Middle Income Housing Groups

Many of the tax credits and home energy rebates are income-qualified. Including HVAC systems, household appliances, home energy audits, insulation improvements, EVs and EV chargers, and indoor air quality monitoring can all have their costs reduced or completely covered. Rental property and
multi-unit housing owners may also qualify for some of this support. And workforce training programs are being developed to encourage local employment for these service sector jobs.

Water Services

Water treatment and distribution service entities can take advantage of  Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund (DWSRF) resources which are being administered by states. Projects upgrading of stormwater and wastewater system lines may also
be eligible.

Tribal Communities

Lenape and Delaware tribal entities can take advantage of funding for coastal habitat restoration, clean energy rebates for non-profits and other community improvements.

Religious Institutions

Non-profit religious institutions, which don'tpay taxes, are eligible for rebates for energy efficiency and building electrification investments.

Other Non-profits

Libraries, museums and historical societies, community centers and many other non-profit organizations or institutes can take advantage of up-front funding assistance for entities that do not pay taxes to help with clean energy, electrification and energy efficiency projects.
